Purple Shabbat

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). Over 1 in 3 (35.6%) women and 1 in 4 men (28.5%) in the US have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. Beth El is honored to join with synagogues across the region in partnership with JCADA for Purple Shabbat. This observance is dedicated to supporting survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV), affirming our community’s commitment that abuse will never be tolerated, and fostering essential dialogue about the importance of healthy relationships. We invite you to participate in this meaningful Shabbat service on October 11.
