Please join us for the annual Daniel Mann Literary Luminaries Lecture featuring guest speaker Emily Tamkin, author of Bad Jews: A History of American Jewish Politics and Identities, and The Influence of Soros: Politics, Power, and the Struggle for an Open Society. Tamkin is a journalist by trade, and she writes and reports mostly on Jewish identities and politics, U.S. foreign policy, and illiberalism.

The Literary Luminaries Lecture series was conceived by the late Daniel Mann z”l, a Jewish community professional and Library Committee member. He organized the first several presentations, including our inaugural lecture in 2009, featuring Dr. Peggy Pearlstein, then-head of the Hebraic Section at the Library of Congress. After Daniel’s death in 2014, the series was renamed in his memory.
