The Rabbi Samuel Scolnic Adult Institute offers classes in a wide variety of subjects, including traditional Bible studies, theology, and European or American Jewish history. Each class addresses specific topics or themes, such as Jewish history, Israel, liturgy, and literature.

Our clergy teach every fall and spring semester along with other local rabbis and educators, and experts on specific topics of interest.

There are 10 courses available on Wednesday evenings and four on Tuesday mornings, and the semester is six weeks long.

Wednesday Sessions

Tuesday Sessions

  • 10:00 am-10:50 am
  • 11:10 am-noon

Early Bird registration is $40 per course for Beth El members and $50 for non-members for Wednesday evening classes, and $35 per course for members and $45 non-members for Tuesday morning classes. For the Early Bird discount, payment for registration must be received either online or by mail, by March 5.

Subsequent registration fees (including those at-the-door) are $45 for members and $55 for non-members for Wednesday evening classes, and $40 per course for members and $50 for non-members for Tuesday morning classes.
