Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Exhibit

November 07, 2017, 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Congregation Beth El
8215 Old Georgetown Rd
Bethesda, MD

Join us for an afternoon of remembrance and thoughtful reflection as we remember Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin 22 years after his tragic assassination.

The exhibit, held in the Bender Social Hall, consists of 10 panels that take participants through the different stages of Rabin’s life, the difficult decisions he was faced with, and the peace process that he so bravely led. The exhibit doesn’t overlook the difficult issues of Rabin’s time, dealing with the toxic public atmosphere and incitement that existed during his time in office, and addressing Israeli society’s responsibility for the terrible reality that lead to the assassination of Israel’s democratically elected leader.

Visitors are invited to experience the exhibit on their own, or talk with Beth El’s shaliach, Itsik Sayag, who will be available to guide you through the exhibit and provide additional information.

If you have questions, please contact Itsik Sayag at isayag@bethelmc.org.
