Congregation Beth El
8215 Old Georgetown Road
Sisterhood’s general meeting will be held on Sunday, May 22, at 9:30 am, and will include elections for the new Sisterhood Board and a special program, “Planned Giving for Charitable Women.” The program will feature a panel of professionals, including Ellen Tillman, a Beth El member who has worked for more than 20 years in the insurance and financial planning fields and is also a co-chair of the Washington area Create a Jewish Legacy program; Steve Jacobson, an attorney at West and Feinberg with a focus on estate planning and administration, and is a past c-o-chair of Create a Jewish Legacy; and Phyllis Solomon, a Beth El member who has held multiple leadership roles and will share her experiences in becoming a charitable woman.
Additionally, Sisterhood Social Action will be collecting chapstick, men’s travel deodorant, and bottles of water for BethesdaCares. Although this is the last Sisterhood meeting until the fall, BethesdaCares supports the homeless (mainly men) throughout the year, and these items are especially needed during the summer months.
Please join Sisterhood for this informative session.
