In this unique prelude to the Days of Awe, authors Michelle Brafman and Martha Toll will be in conversation about their new novels, Swimming with Ghosts and Three Muses. Characters in these books struggle with issues that often surface during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur – loss, past trauma, regret, obsession, and the potential for renewal. How have the authors grappled with these universal concerns in their work and what helpful insights can we take with us as the Jewish season of reflection begins?
Co-sponsored by the Library Committee, the Women of Beth El, and Men’s Club in conjunction with the Adas Israel Library and Sisterhood.
