This lay-led service blends tradition and creativity\, drawing on contemporary and innovative Jewish music from around the world. \n\n6:00 pm – Light Dinner\n7:00 pm – Kol Haneshama Musical Service\n8:15 om – Oneg with guest speaker\n\nFollowing the service\, there will be an oneg featuring special guest speaker Robert (Bob) Brady\, who will speak on “Why Healthcare Costs Continue to Increase at Dramatic Levels and One Potential Solution.”  \nRobert (Bob) Brady had a long career at the Food and Drug Administration\, where he served as senior counsel and as an Executive Assistant to the FDA Commissioner\, and at two major Washington\, D.C. law firms. During his nearly 20 years at what is now the Hogan Lovells law firm\, Brady founded Hogan’s FDA/Pharmaceutical Practice Group\, where he provided counsel on FDA matters as well as enforcement matters brought by the Department of Justice. Prior to entering private practice\, Brady also served as General Counsel and then Executive Vice President of a major consumer products trade association. \nBrady currently serves as key advisor to Patients’ Rights Advocate (PRA) (PatientsRIghtsAdvocate.org)\, a nonprofit\, nonpartisan health care reform group whose goal is the implementation of systemwide healthcare price transparency. The group consists of many experts in all areas of healthcare. Through advocacy\, testimony\, media\, legal research and grassroots campaigns\, as well as in the crafting of model legislation\, the organization seeks actual upfront healthcare price transparency that will greatly lower costs through a functional competitive marketplace. \nDinner registration is now closed\, but all are welcome to join us for the service and oneg. \n

SUMMARY:Beth El Youth Chocolate Seder
DESCRIPTION:Last year’s youth chocolate seder was a HUGE success – So we’re doing it again! \nWe will use the time to practice some brachot and the four questions\, so when the spotlight is on them in a few days\, they’ll have had a chance to do it with friends before. \nThe biggest catch is that everything will be chocolate. \nPicture this – instead of a lamb shank\, we have a pretzel stick covered in chocolate. Our Karpas is strawberries we dip in chocolate sauce. The Charoset? Marshmallow fluff with chocolate chips\, and of course there is chocolate matzah. Oh and those four glasses of wine? Mini cups of chocolate milk. \nThe cost for this activity for Beth El Youth members is $15. Non-members are welcome to register at any time for $18.  Registration deadline: Noon on March 20. \n

DESCRIPTION:Beth El volunteers will pack boxes of non-perishable food at the Manna warehouse in Gaithersburg for distribution to the needy in Montgomery County. We are in need of up to 12 volunteers age 11+.In addition to serving the greater community\, one of the goals is to give all Beth El parents a way to participate with their children (age 11 and older) in community service. SUMMARY:Women of Beth El Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Take a break from your Pesach prep\, unload some of your chametz\, and join Women of Beth El for a relaxing\, slow flow yoga class on Sunday\, March 29 at 11:00 am. Class will be held at Beth El in the Zahler Social Hall. Please bring a mat and any props you like to use for yoga\, although the class will not require props. This class is open to all levels but members should have some yoga experience\, be able to be on the floor\, and get up and down without assistance. \nAfter class\, we will share some refreshments – please bring some chametz that you need to clear from your kitchen (make sure it’s marked as kosher) to share with the group! We will have snacks available as well\, but this is a good chance to get rid of those crackers\, cookies\, or bag of pretzels! We will also share some reflections on the upcoming holiday. \nCost is $5 and registration is required.
