Please join us for our annual Daniel Mann Literary Luminaries Lecture on Sunday, June 1, at 11:30 am. Our speaker, Ron Kampeas, will be lending his unique perspective on current events.

Ron Kampeas was the Jewish Telegraphic Agency‘s Washington Bureau Chief for more than two decades, until his retirement at the end of 2024. He worked previously at the Associated Press, where he spent more than a decade in its bureaus in Jerusalem, New York, London, and, most recently, Washington. He has reported from Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, Bosnia, and West Africa. Kampeas will be presenting his unique perspective on events in the Middle East and the world.

The Literary Luminaries Lecture series was conceived by congregant Daniel Mann z”l, a Jewish community professional and Library Committee member. He organized the first several presentations, including our inaugural lecture in 2009, featuring Peggy Pearlstein, then-head of the Hebraic Section at the Library of Congress. After Daniel’s death in 2014, the series was renamed in his memory.

The Daniel Mann Literary Luminaries Lecture is co-sponsored by the Library Committee, Men’s Club, and Women of Beth El. Please use the form below to RSVP.
