Joyous Havdalah Service Featuring IDF Special in Uniform Program

February 24, 2018, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Congregation Beth El
8215 Old Georgetown Rd
Bethesda, MD

It’s Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM)! Join us for a special program inviting people of all abilities to participate in and enjoy a beautiful Havdalah service followed by a guest speaker and presentation. Delicious treats will be served.

Our Havdalah service will be a multisensory, engaging prayer experience open to all congregants and their families and particularly welcoming families who have members with special needs or challenges.

We will welcome a guest speaker on the Israel Defense Forces Special in Uniform Program. This unique program, a partnership with the Jewish National Fund, integrates young Israelis with disabilities into the IDF, enabling them to serve side-by-side with their peers. They are trained to perform meaningful military functions, ultimately preparing them for employment after their military service. We will hear about the Special in Uniform Program and view a moving film about it.

RSVPs appreciated for planning purposes. Please email Marci Ruderman,, B’ruchim Habaim Committee; or Larry Sidman,, Am Yisrael Chai Committee.

Please inform us of any accommodations you might need. Sponsored by the Bruchim HaBaim and Am Israel Chai Committees.
