Congregation Beth El
8215 Old Georgetown Rd
Join us for Apples From The Desert. Rivka, the only daughter in an ultra-orthodox Jewish family, meets a secular kibbutznik who introduces her to another way of life. Her father reacts by setting in motion a prearranged marriage to an older widower with children of his own. A story of rebellion and reconciliation that too often occurs when cultures clash. Cost is $5 and includes refreshments. For information, contact Judy Marcus at firstname.lastname@example.org.
