Cooking for Shepherd’s Table
Join Sisterhood/Zhava from 9:30 am to noon in our community effort to provide food for the local homeless population or cook at home and bring the food to Beth El. RSVP is required to email@example.com.
New Towel/Washcloth Collection
Donate new washcloths and bath towels in the Beth El lobby from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm for the Greentree Shelter, located in Bethesda at the National Center for Children and Families.
Chametz Food Collection
As you clean out your pantries for Pesach, don’t foget our neighbors in need! Donations of chametz are welcomed and boxes will be in the Beth El lobby during the week of April 1-5, and on Sunday April 7 (no donations can be accepted before these dates). All donations will be given to Bethesda Cares. No matzah please!
Drop off electronics in the parking lot from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. We assess, do small repairs, donate, and recycle electronics! We can find new homes for your old electronics. Project Hope Passover Food Bag Delivery
Volunteers are needed on Sunday, April 14, to deliver Passover food bags in partnership with JSSA’s Holiday Giving Program. Food bags will need to be picked up and delivered by 12:00 noon. For information or to sign up, please contact Jack Ventura at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Come to Beth El this Sunday for Good Deeds Day and help knit Bunnies for Hospice. Join others to knit together in the Family room between 9:45am – 12pm. Please bring needles and yarn (some yarn is available if needed). If you want to help, but can’t stay, please make 3-4 inch squares and leave a long tail to drop off at Beth El.
