Join us as we participate in the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s annual Good Deeds Day. Beth El will hold Tikkun Olam programs throughout the morning. Please sign up using the form below. Good Deeds Day Activities and Collections

  • Blood Drive: An INOVA mobile donation center will be available in the parking lot from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.   • Cooking for Shepherd’s Table: Join Sisterhood/Zhava from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm in our community effort to provide food for the local homeless population or cook at home and bring to Beth El.
  • New Towel/Washcloth Collection: Donate new washcloths and bath towels in the Beth El lobby from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm for the Greentree Shelter, located in Bethesda at the National Center for Children and Families.
  • Electronics Collection: Drop off electronics in the parking lot from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. We assess, do small repairs, donate, and recycle electronics! We can find new homes for your old electronics. Common donation items include computers, televisions, VCRs, and more! For a full list of electronics we can accept, visit tinyurl.com/y7wszund.
  • Route 72: An Israeli Road Trip: Join Beth El Religious School as we celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut and Israel’s birthday from 10:00 am to noon. We will take a trip around Israel using Shvil Israel (the Israel National Trail) and enjoy food and activities along the way! Along our Route 72 journey, we will also celebrate Good Deeds Day.
