SUMMARY:Summer Blood Drive
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Beth El’s blood drive and help make a lifesaving difference in our community. This will be the last opportunity to donate blood at Beth El before the High Holidays. \nDuring the summer\, blood donations decline as many people travel and vacation\, while the need for blood remains high due to an increase in accidents and traumatic injuries. Your donation can help ensure that hospitals have the blood supply they need when it matters most. \nOur goal is to collect 50 units of blood\, which could help save or improve the lives of up to 150 people. \nWhether you’re a regular donor or considering giving blood for the first time\, we hope you’ll join us in this important mitzvah. \nClick here to reserve your time slot. \nFor assistance\, contact Jon Simon at jonathan747@gmail.com or Jack Ventura jack.ventura@verizon.net\, or call 240-997-3356. DESCRIPTION:It’s time for our annual Back to Shul BBQ! Join us on Friday\, August 28\, at 5:00 pm to welcome everyone back from the summer. There will be opportunities to reconnect with friends\, eat some yummy food\, see how you can get involved at Beth El this year\, and hang out and play. Stay after the BBQ to help us greet Shabbat together as a community. \nThe Gift Shop will be open during the BBQ for all of your shopping needs. Stop by to browse our beautiful selection of Rosh Hashanah merchandise\, perfect for your home or as thoughtful gifts for family and friends. \nCost: $16 per person\, $10 per child (4-11 years old)\, $55 max per family. This event is free if you are a new member to Beth El who joined on or after June 1\, 2026. Registration is required by noon on August 26. \nPlease register using the form below.
