March 27 @ 11:00 am

Join us to discuss this charming and enigmatic novella by literary legend Cynthia Ozick. The narrator, an elderly retired lawyer, Lloyd Petrie, reflects on his boarding school days in New York’s Westchester County in the early 20th Century. He particularly tries to make sense of his intense friendship with a mysterious boy who claimed to be a descendant of ancient Jews who lived on Egypt’s Elephantine Island.
